Adventure #2: Jim Russell Racing School at Infineon Raceway for 8 people (4 drivers, 4 guests)
Here are two amazing adventures, each with its own flavor, but somehow tied to
the same themes: Beauty and freedom. Both touch you in a way that somehow
etches your memory as so few things in life ever really do.
Adventure #1: Head on over to the Petaluma Gap region in a Bentley you'll
drive for the day. You're about to visit Keller Estate and begin the first of two
adventures. This one is graced with a relaxing vintage Mercedes Benz tour, with
views of nature's own take on what gorgeous countryside should be in this part
of the country...and particularly on the special parcel of land called La Cruz
Vineyard. The work that goes on here is almost entirely about giving nature's
elements the freedom to express themselves; and if there's any human intellect
applied here, it is to honor what nature does here. By contrast, next up, beauty
again – and freedom – this time of mankind's making. Looking around you,
no one would ever expect a collection of classic automobiles tucked away on
the estate. Yet here it is. It's a very rare glimpse at the historic milestones of the
automobile industry. (Indeed, very few people get a personal invite into this
private museum!)
You'll have a relaxing lunch at the estate to contemplate the qualities that make
up the chemistry of life here at Keller Estate – one of contrasts, but of beauty in
its freest expression. Your chef-prepared lunch is paired with stunning wines from
the estate. In fact, Keller Estate's most precious wines are featured in a gorgeous
red leather case where their 2006 Precioso Chardonnay and 2006 Precioso Pinot
Noir are carefully kept. As you depart, a red leather Precioso Case awaits the
bidder, along with one 750ml. 2006 Precioso Pinot Noir for each couple.
Adventure #2: is for those with a driving desire to pick up the pace a bit. It's
time for Jim Russell Racing Drivers School held at Infineon Raceway. Their
Grand Prix Master Program gets you and three of your guests behind the wheel
of an FJR-50, and fast! This program is designed for those of you that always
have wanted to drive a racecar. And so you shall!
Please note: Mutually agreed-upon dates during 2008-2009. Estate tour experience and Racing School experiences need not take place on successive days nor
does the guest list have to remain the same.

Jim Russell Racing Drivers School
After a Driver's Meeting, you'll be fitted into your race
car: seat, belts, pedal adjustment. Next your race crew
familiarizes you with the controls of the FJR-50, a
state-of-the-art formula car based on the championship
winning Lola Formula Three car. No school in the
world has a car that comes close to this.
You will be introduced to the track by a professional
driver who will show you the racing line and reference
points around the track, followed by shifting practice
After a catered trackside luncheon in the Jim Russell
Hospitality Suite, you will begin your lapping sessions
on the track, lapping the 2.52 mile Infineon Raceway
at progressively higher speeds.
Talk about beautiful freedom! Life in the fast lane does
not get any better than this!
