This is Spirit Mountain Ranch, just outside Rocky Mountain National Park near the Village of Grand Lake and the Winter Park Ski Area, an easy two-hour drive from Denver. This luxurious inn sits atop 72 beautiful aspen acres high in the Rockies, with direct access to hiking trails, fishing, horseback riding, and romantic tranquility. The ranch boasts gardens, a greenhouse, and a strawbale barn with an outdoor kitchen area.
Speaking of the kitchen, the reason you're coming here is to meet celebrity-chef David Burke. Blazing across distinctions between author, chef, artist, entrepreneur, and inventor, you will meet this man who has enjoyed an amazing career as one of the America's leading culinary pioneers. You and your group will work alongside David to create a dinner that is all about unique tastes and flavors, with an equally stunning presentation — all carefully paired with exquisite limited release wines and special library selections from Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery.
Ferrari-Carano owns 19 estate vineyards in four different appellations totaling 1,400 acres, in some of the finest wine growing regions in all of California. These include mountain, bench land and valley floor plantings spread across a fifty mile radius. The sites were chosen for their diversity of microclimates and soil, contributing to a unique diversity of grape flavors, textures and structures - and wine of cherished quality across the spectrum.
Finally, for the lucky bidder to enjoy back home (perhaps to share with those nine lucky friends), you will also receive an etched 3 Liter Ferrari-Carano 2005 Trésor (which not only translates to "treasure," but certainly is!)

Chef David Burke's fascination with ingredients and the art of the meal has fueled a career marked by creativity, critical acclaim, and the introduction of revolutionary products and cooking techniques. Burke trained at the Culinary Institute of America, and soon thereafter headed to France, ultimately becoming the first American and one of the youngest chefs to win France's coveted Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Diplome d'Honneur for his creativity. Burke teamed up with energetic restaurateur, Donatella Arpaia, to open davidburke & donatella in January of 2003. And the most recent addition to the Burke empire, David Burke Las Vegas, which is open and thriving in the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.
Ferrari-Carano Trésor is a blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot - from the best selections of all their vineyards in Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys.
