The Fisher Family has been growing and producing wines in both Napa Valley
and Sonoma County since 1973. Founded by Fred and Juelle Fisher, Fisher
Vineyards today finds youth and new dedication in the second generation that
includes daughters Whitney and Cameron, and son Robert.
Connecting the generations is what life is all about - and thinking sustainably
is the way it's done in the vineyards. UNITY is the result of the entire Fisher
family working together, the direct effect of the second generation's creativity
and energy, sourcing and blending grapes from small family growers in Napa
Valley who are deeply committed to sustainable farming practices. The happy
result draws on individual strengths of each site -and two generations of the
Fisher family - to create a single harmonious taste experience that reflects the
best of each vintage. The winning bidder will receive a gigantic 18 Liter bottle
of this wine: 2006 UNITY Cabernet Sauvignon, produced and bottled by
Fisher Vineyards.
For the lucky bidder and three guests, it's a full agenda, but not without the
comforts of resort life: Two rooms await you at Napa's new "green resort", Solage,
where pampering begins at Solage Spa, followed by dinner at Solage's amazing
restaurant Solbar. You'll also visit Fisher Vineyards mountain estate where you'll
join the Fisher family for lunch in the Madrone Grove above the celebrated
Wedding Vineyard. Later, you will join Rob, Whitney and Cameron Fisher
(and a group of their dazzling winemaker friends from around the Napa Valley)
For a BBQ dinner at the barn on the Fisher's Napa Valle estate. You'll taste
new wines from these rising stars, as well as library wines from the Fishers' own
cellar. And finally, you will become a Millennium Club member which gets you
six 2005 red wine magnums and 21 bottles of wines from Fisher Vineyards,
released for the first time in 2009.
Not bad for just a few days away from the workaday world!
Please note: Mutually agreed-upon dates during 2008-2009, and based upon availability of accommodations.

Donors: Two Generations of Fisher Family Vineyards, Solage Calistoga Resort & Spa
Green wine? There's a word for any vineyardist who
follows sustainable farming practices: visionary. Now,
the second generation of the Fisher family is writing
new winemaking history by gathering the best of these
visionaries into one wine: UNITY. Unlike certain
world-class wines defined by a single vineyard source
and made unique by its particular terroir, UNITY
echoes a broader range of tones reflective of special
sites, carefully chosen and woven together. While
Fisher Vineyards continues to build on the family's
first generation successes that embrace the former
philosophy, the second generation sets out to explore
the latter in UNITY.
Green resort? Solage Calistoga Resort and Spa
believes that pampering guests and sustainability
can go hand-in-hand. Witness its furnishings from
sustainably-farmed materials, room accents and bath
amenities from natural ingredients; solar panels,
evaporative coolers, natural garden shading...even
innovative use of Calistoga's famed hot springs as an
alternative energy source to heat treatment rooms and
soaking pools at the 20,000-square-foot Spa Solage.
Room service is delivered via "pedal power." Even
the resort's Solbar restaurant features locally sourced
organic produce
