The story of Flowers Vineyard and Winery begins — well — with flowers, when Bucks County (PA) nursery owners Walt and Joan Flowers combined their love of wine with their passion for agriculture. After responding to a small classified ad, they purchased 321 acres, including a ridge top, high above the Pacific Ocean on the northern Sonoma Coast. The Flowers proceeded to grow their favorite cool-climate varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, production is 15,000 cases. Every one of those cases is proof of a passion and commitment to produce cool-climate wines that authentically express the unique character of the coolest areas of the rugged Sonoma Coast appellation.
