Four guests are about to embark on an epic of mouse-size proportions! The
moment you find your way to Burbank's airport, your driver will zippity-do-dah
you over to the Huntington Hotel in nearby Pasadena where a two bedroom
suite awaits. Your relaxing evening includes a dazzling dinner in a favorite local
restaurant. Tomorrow, your driver delivers you to Walt Disney Imagineering
where you'll visit the inner chambers of the amazing creative force first launched
by Walt himself. After lunch, it's off to Disneyland's majestically-appointed
Grand Californian Hotel and your two bedroom suite; and then on to dinner at
the much-heralded Napa Rose where its General Manager and Wine Director,
the affable Master Sommelier Michael Jordan, offers a three-course meal paired
with wines from the cellar.
Come morning, meet Tony Baxter, Senior Vice President, Creative Development
of Walt Disney Imagineering. He is the chief creative genius behind the Finding
Nemo Submarine and Indiana Jones attractions, and many, many others. Tony
takes you backstage for a rare glimpse into Disneyland's inner workings and
colorful history - and he should know: he used to sweep Main Street as a
teenager decades ago, and has been here ever since with his keen eye for magic
making! Check out Walt Disney's private apartment followed by lunch secreted
away above the colorful realism of 19th-century New Orleans.
Afterwards (and tomorrow), the big kid in you is free to roam the park like
a true vacationer. At nightfall, you may want to check out Fantasmic, the
spectacular night-time fireworks and visual hydrotechnic show.
When you get back home, look for a double magnum of the "Cars" wine,
produced in tribute to Pixar's movie hit by the same name. It's your highly
collectible memento of a magical road trip of mouse-size proportions.
